CORT Family Law Training

Description

This two-day substantive law training is aimed at attorneys who have some family law experience.  In addition to basic sessions, the training will cover a wide range of topics that go beyond the basics of domestic relations practice. Sessions for family law attorneys of all levels of experience include: coercive control; safety planning for DV survivors; consumer, tax, and real estate law issues within family law cases; inter-state relocation issues under the UCCJEA, UIFSA, and relevant state laws; a panel of child support professionals from each CORT state; drafting family law orders to protect client public benefit eligibility; and immigration remedies for survivors.
