CORT Litigation Planning

Description

The Committee on Regional Training (CORT) will be presenting the Litigation Planning Training on April 18, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio and in Lansing Michigan on April 4, 2019.

Each state will offer one-day training sessions which will introduce litigation planning concepts including; element charts; trial notebooks; matters of proof; evidence; developing a theme and theory of a case; and the use of drama in the courtroom.

The target audience for Litigation Planning is lawyers with 1 ½ years of practice after admission.

Participation in Litigation Planning and the completion of a trial notebook remain a prerequisite for Trial Advocacy Skills Training (TAST). This year TAST will take place in Columbus, Ohio on August 5-10, 2019. Please note that participation in Litigation Planning does not guarantee you a place in TAST. Even though Litigation Planning is a prerequisite for TAST, it is designed as a self-contained training so that it will be useful for people who do not attend TAST. Also, attendance at this year's training will meet the prerequisite requirements of future TASTs.

PLEASE RETURN YOU REGISTRATION NO LATER THAN MARCH 22, 2019. THE DEADLINE FOR CANCELLING IS APRIL 5, 2019

**Please remember: The target audience for Litigation Planning is lawyers with 1 ½ years of practice after admission.
