Veteran Discharge Upgrades: Many veterans have “bad paper,” or discharges that are less than honorable, which makes them ineligible for veterans benefits. Misconduct is usually the reason for bad paper discharges, but sometimes, the military gets it wrong. Some veterans misconduct occurred after they deployed to combat areas, but instead of getting them medical care for potential PTSD, the military discharged them. And it was only post-service that they receive a PTSD diagnosis. This webinar will explain discharges and its impact to veterans, as well as the venues, procedures, and process to upgrade discharges through the service branches' Discharge Review Boards and Boards of Correction of Military Records.
