ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence: Advanced Custody Litigation Institute

CORT has partnered with the ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence its virtual Advanced Custody Litigation Institute on:

• Wednesday, October 6, 2021 (1:00-4:00 p.m. ET)
• Thursday, October 7, 2021 (1:00-4:00 p.m. ET)
• Wednesday, October 13, 2021(1:00-4:00 p.m. ET)
• Thursday, October 14, 2021 (1:00-4:10 p.m. ET)

Attendees are expected to actively participate in all four sessions. You can find more about the training on the ABA's website here.

For now the registration is open only to CORT lawyers. In another week or two the ABA will advertise this event for national sign-ups. If you want to participate in the online training, please register as soon as possible.

Registration Deadline: Monday, September 13.

Please note that the ABA not CORT, has its own process of accepting applicants to this training. For this training, the first 25 CORT attorneys to sign up will be registered for the training, regardless of

Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) grantee status. After they reach 25 (30 if a great deal of interest), if another CORT attorney signs up and is an OVW grantee, they will be registered as well.

If not an OVW grantee, they will go on the waitlist.

After general registration opens, the ABA will fill any remaining spots with OVW grantees. Non-OVW-grantee registrants will go on the waitlist behind CORT non-OVW-grantees (assuming that they signed up earlier).

Once registration reaches capacity, OVW grantees will also go on the waitlist, and will be placed ahead of all non-OVW-grantees.
