CORT Employment Law Training

Description

CORT is excited to offer a two day training on Employment Law. This training is intended as an introduction to common employment disputes encountered by low wage workers that will help advocates spot issues and appropriately counsel clients. It will also serve as a refresher and expansion of knowledge for those who already practice employment law.

This training is designed for advocates with beginning to intermediate knowledge and/or experience in employment law.

This training will cover common employment law issues for low income workers, such as: 1) wage/hour law, 2) discrimination/harassment, 3) accessing unemployment insurance; 4) re-entry and expungement; and 5) the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act of 2014.

Everyone who is interested in this area of law is welcome and encouraged to attend.
