Family Law Training

Description

This two day conference is aimed at attorneys who have some family law experience. In addition to basic sessions, the training will cover a wide range of topics that go beyond the basics of domestic relations practice. Basic sessions will include presenting evidence and the basics of public benefits. Sessions for more experienced attorneys include electronic evidence and bankruptcy issues that impact divorce. Other sessions for family law attorneys of all levels of experience include: cultural issues in family law cases, using the UCCJEA in cases involving domestic violence, and using mental health experts on a legal services budget. Finally, we are pleased to have Preston Findlay from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington DC, who will discuss remedies to prevent and respond to parental kidnapping.
